Replacing my factory installed fireplace with a more efficient insert or wood stove-brands performance anyone? - soapstone wood burning stoves
I bought a house with what I thought, was built in a wood fireplace insert ... is unlocked only a fireplace with a blower and glass doors. When the doors close, heat is the same as standing against a wall. In addition, I managed to melt the grill last season trying to heat the room? Therefore I would like to remove and replace them with a real fireplace insert. I understand there are made for fireplaces fireplace inserts .. You can skip the masonry inserts for others is required. Has anyone installed one, and there was a significant improvement in the ability of the heat? If you are responding to what brand you buy? I'm trying to decide whether the masonry and the installation carried out by an insert instead of one for prefabricated buildings. There are also suggestions of houses built in the most efficient radiators or wood stoves at home, would the marks be estimated. Has anyone used a soapstone wood stove? I want warmth without deforestation. My House in Arkansas is about 1600 meters. Thank you for help,

As I see it has four obvious problems here:
1) You do not know the difference between a real fireplace and an electric heater.
2) You live in a trailer, where the insulation is probably not.
3 They do not) to "deforestation" want to heat the house (are you?) In CA.
4) You want others to do your homework for you.
I just do it:
Soapstone wood stoves are probably the best for even heating. You do not get as fast as regular wood stoves, but they radiate heat much longer than cast iron.
On the issue of deforestation: How much wood do you use? I come before with four strings (of which one never cut wood?), Some with less need for more insulation, less part to the need for better insulation. I live in a 1,500 square meter in the PNW.
For two or three cords of wood are likely to forest trees in the natural course of events, or storms, disease, etc. please
If you have neverbefore the cutting of wood reminiscent of the old adage, heating with wood is heated twice, once briefly and once when it burns ... Three times if you include the cutting of trees. So you do if you have never cut and split wood before yourelf a favor, buy a pellet stove. Almost immediately, heat, no masonry (the tube through the wall so that it can be placed almost anywhere), and platelets of waste products from wood (which means that d 'other, it will be for you) and as tablets, by well over livestock bedding. Or could an insert propane gas, no need to resort to buy wood at all means, and you'll save some excersize. To turn off the thermostat and see what is your trailer nice and toasted.
How to make it more efficient for parts that their own work. Do choose a search Enginger inserts in wood research, and compare the features that are important to you, and, from there.
